Building Strong Foundations (Class 1–2, Age 6–8)
These are the foundation years. Daily reading, neat handwriting, kindness and mindful screen habits set a child up for everything that follows.
Read a little every day
Even ten minutes builds vocabulary, imagination and focus.
Neat handwriting still matters
Writing by hand strengthens memory and thinking, even in a digital world.
Be a good friend
Include others, stand up for the shy, and never laugh at someone’s language or culture.
Screens with a purpose
Use apps to learn, not just to scroll. Ask “what did I learn?” after screen time.
AI is a helper, not a homework-doer
It’s okay to ask a smart helper to explain — but always try first and think for yourself.
💡 For parents & teachers: Read together at bedtime. Sharing a book builds language, closeness and a lifelong reading habit.
